It’s just been a wonderful year- fantastic clients who became friends, wonderful friends who became clients, I just want to take a moment to say thanks. I’m so touched by each and every beautiful person in my life- I’m grateful to know you.
Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.

At long last! After 10 months of pondering and introspection about who I am and what I offer as a photographer, artist & friend, lots of research and review, and just a whole lot of work I’m so pleased to share my new brand identity, website and blog!
The new logo, website and gorgeous collateral with the soothing blues and fantastic textures feel like me- but in a fresh, new and inspiring way! I love everything about the new look and feel- and hope you do too!
When I reflected on what meant most to me in my work, it was the feeling of documenting a new family beginning. And when I think about the times I feel the most complete at the end of a session, it’s when I know that I’ve taken great care of my clients- that we’ve not only captured the moments both official in in between, but when I know that they were soothed and encouraged by my time with them. I consider my vocation an honor and a privilege, and I hope you see that reflected in this new brand identity!
SO! welcome, thank you for joining me on this new adventure! Check back often- the best is yet to come!
Cheers! and mille grazie to the amazing team creating this transformation!
To the team at FloSites, for such a beautiful website and blog- Love the new look and feel!
To Bailey, the amazing calligrapher behind the new logo!
To the incredibly force of nature that is Making Brands Happen: Lara Casey & Emily Ley. Both of these (gorgeous inside and out) women ask exactly the right questions to incite the truest answers.
Superbly talented, creative and kind Emily Ley was amazing at the listening and creating visual representations of those heartfelt answers. Her visual representation of my new brand had me both teary and speachless from the first glimpse.
Lara Casey- where do I even begin- from the notes and emails of encouragement along the way, to the precise and insightful baby steps- Lara truly brings out the best in everyone around her. I was daunted at the idea of a ground up overhaul, any yet knew instinctively that she’d be exactly the right person to shepherd me along the way. Courageous, insightful, inspiring, exciting- AMAZING- I can’t figure out when she ever sleeps, but I am so grateful for all that she gave with her heart and soul in this process.
Thank you SO much to such a dream team- and Cheers to new beginnings!
All my love,
Being a part of a wedding day is an honor- and a privilege. I love it when my clients keep in touch- and when their family expands and I get to meet their newest additions, even better! Little Sammy’s toes at 2 weeks, and now just before his second birthday. I’ve loved getting to know this little man, his smile is always contagious!
Valerie & Paul, celebrating their tenth anniversary with a vow renewal and celebration… I loved what Valerie said about Paul in a toast: ” I never could have dreamt you up- but you are perfect for me in every way. You are my best friend, the love of my life, the man of my dreams. I love you.”
Thanks for taking a moment to visit! I’m really excited to share my thoughts on life and love in my new blog!
It seemed appropriate to share as my first post my parents’ wedding portrait. After meeting in May and marrying in December, they celebrated their 40th anniversary just before my dad passed.
My mom’s roommate in nursing school was my dad’s cousin Jane. As Canadians in California they had to get together. My dad always said he knew when my mom opened the door that day, him carrying a casserole for dinner, he knew- this was his wife. He always told me how he couldn’t believe his luck- over the years to come- he always said he didn’t deserve her.
There is no perfect relationship, but as best-friends and partners they travelled the world, excelled in their careers, raised 2 kids and stuck it out through thick and thin. They love and friendship was an inspiration.
To this day she wears his mother’s diamond and a perfectly simple gold band, and every now and then she pulls out the recipe card to make the love at first sight casserole…
